Guide
We measure length with a ruler. Always start from the 0 on the ruler, not from its edge.
Each big space on the ruler is one centimetre (cm). Each centimetre has 10 small spaces. Each small space is one millimetre (mm).
We measure mass with scales. When both pans of a balance hold the same mass, the balance is level. 1 kilogram = 1000 grams.
We measure capacity with a measuring jug. 1 litre = 1000 millilitres.
Some marks on a scale have no number. First work out what each mark is worth, then count on.
Drag the ruler with your finger, or tap it and move it with the arrow keys.
