Sorting by a sign

Sort things into groups by colour and by shape, count each group and find the biggest.

Guide

In the Ukrainian Grade 1 programme (NUSH) children first learn to sort things into groups by a shared sign: colour, shape or size. This comes before numbers, because to count you must know what you are counting.

Tap a thing, then its group, and a mark appears in the table. One thing is one mark. If you slip, rub out the mark with the − button and put the thing in another group.

The same things can be sorted in different ways, by colour or by shape. When there are several groups they can be compared: which group has the most, which the fewest.
