Numbers in words

Build two- and three-digit numbers from tens and ones, and read and write them in words.

Guide

Build each number from tens and ones, then say its name.

A number's name comes from its places: twenty-five is 2 tens and 5 ones. An empty place gets a zero.

Practise writing the digits with a pencil on paper beside the child; here we only build and read numbers.
