Times tables

Learn the times tables with pictures and practise them in a short game: 2, 5 and 10 first, then 0 and 1, then the rest up to 12 × 12.

Guide

3 × 4 means 3 rows of 4. That is why every fact comes with a picture: rows of little dots. If you forget a fact, count the dots or go down row by row: 4, 8, 12.

You can also say a multiplication table out loud, in order: "one five is five, two fives are ten, three fives are fifteen…". Each time, one more row of 5 joins the picture.

Type your answer with the number buttons and press ✓. If it is wrong, that's fine: look at the picture and try again. That fact will come back a few questions later so it sticks.

Facts you get wrong are remembered on this device only, and come back first next time. Nothing is sent over the internet.

The ⏱ button turns on a gentle timer (6 seconds, like the Year 4 multiplication check). If time runs out, your answer is not marked wrong; we just practise that fact more. Leave it off if you prefer.
