Guide
In Ukrainian Grade 4 written multiplication by a multi-digit number uses partial products: the 1st by the ones, the 2nd by the tens, the 3rd by the hundreds. Each one starts in the place of its multiplier digit, then all are added.
If the multiplier has a zero, that partial product is zero. Round numbers (30, 200) are multiplied by the significant digit with as many zeros written as the multiplier has: 58 · 30 = 58 · 3 = 174 → 1740.
In the table on this page the zero rows are filled in fully; at home you can write it shorter, "zeros written on the right".
