Table problems: price, quantity, cost
Write the short record as a «price, quantity, cost» table and solve problems on the sum, difference and ratio of two products. Section: Grade 3, table problems price/quantity/cost; "times as many" problems are in another studio.

A studio for Ukrainian grade 3 (НУШ textbooks, parts 1 and 2). In shopping problems the book first writes a short record as a table of three columns: price, quantity, cost. Cost = price · quantity.
If the price or the quantity is unknown, divide the cost: price = cost : quantity. With two buyers the table has two rows, and the questions ask for the sum, the difference or the ratio of two products.
The last task finds three numbers from three sums. Add all three sums and halve: that is the sum of the three numbers.
In each task you fill the table in yourself before answering. The «why?» question sums up which operation answers which question.
