Maps in a row
Apply two maps one after the other, find the carrier graph of a moving point and watch the order.

Guide
If two maps are carried out in a row, P is mapped to P′ first and then P′ to P″. The order matters: a shift and a stretch do not commute in general.
If a point P(t | t²) on the graph of y = x² is mapped, the image depends on t. All image points lie on a curve, the carrier graph: eliminate t from the coordinates of the image point.
For the graph of a function a stretch in y-direction by the factor k means multiplying the term by k; a reflection in the x-axis changes the sign of the term.
