- CalculusAreas, volumes and arc lengths by integrationUse the definite integral to find the area under a curve and between two curves, a volume of revolution, an arc length and a polar area.
- CalculusDifferential equationsWrite a rate of change as a differential equation, find the solution y = Cekx on a graph and solve a separable equation with a starting condition.
- CalculusCurve sketching and optimisationFind the asymptotes and key points of a graph, then use a maximum to solve problems such as the largest area and the largest volume.
- Shape and geometryExtra: not in your textbooksConic sections: slicing a coneCut a cone with different planes and see where the circle, ellipse, parabola and hyperbola come from. Then see what the ratio of the distance to a focus and to a directrix builds.
- Sets and logicExtra: not in your textbooksCounting with repeats: arrangements, groups and stars and barsArrange marbles of the same colour in a row, count codes with repeated digits, split students into rooms and count flower bunches with stars and bars.
